Air Brake Training

Air Brake Training course provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate air brake systems safely and to be able to identify faults in these systems. You will learn how the system works and how to use it properly.

 

If you plan to upgrade your current Class “G” license to a higher class, you need the 12 hours air brake course.

Here is what you can expect from our Air Brake Training.

 

Note: You must have a valid Ontario class "G" license or greater to attend.

 

  • Commercial Truck Training Academy will supply a certified Air Brake Instructor that will conduct the 12-hour Ministry of Transportation approved Air Brake Endorsement Course.
    At the conclusion of the course, a 20-question written test will be administered, out of which 16 questions have to be passed.

  • Upon successful completion of Written Test, a practical examination will also be done on a tractor trailer unit. At the successful completion of the program, a certificate will be granted that must be forwarded to the local driver test center.

  • Upon completion Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Program, you will receive the certificate. Present this envelope to a Drive Test Centre within six months to add the Z endorsement to your license.
